Prices by type of job
What you’re printing matters more than anything else. Small functional parts are cheap; large props and multi-part builds are not.
| Category | Average quote |
|---|---|
| Functional & replacement parts | $32 |
| Electronics enclosures | $39 |
| Molds, tools & jigs | $43 |
| Figurines | $54 |
| Toys & tabletop | $57 |
| Home & garden | $67 |
| Cosplay & props | $70 |
| Signs & gifts | $79 |
| Automotive | $123 |
What drives the price
Four things decide almost every quote: how big the part is, how much material it uses, how long it ties up a printer, and whether it needs to be designed first.
- Size and volume — a phone-sized part prints in an hour or two; a helmet can take days of printer time.
- Material — PLA and PETG are the least expensive; ASA, TPU and resin cost more and print more slowly.
- Design time — printing your file is cheapest. Modelling a part from photos adds time, though for simple parts it’s included.
- Quantity — the first copy carries the setup; additional copies in the same batch cost less each.
How to keep it affordable
Send clear photos with a ruler in frame and the key measurements — it shortens design time. Use your own file if you have one. And if you need several, order them together.
